Hazard or not?

John Neve writes:

I followed closely the debate on this site, between Cy d’Oliveira and others, regarding the Biotech Laboratories report on samples submitted to them. Not being a chemist it is not possible for me to do other than read said report. As to the reports ramifications, your guess is a good as mine. However, in the interests of health, tourism and the fishing industry, this matter must not be allowed to become lost!

The people of the Fraser Coast Region need answers. What are our new council, Wide Bay Water and the EPA going to do about the report? If it’s wrong we need to know, if it’s correct, what action will be taken to address the health issues?

Where government at any level is involved, there seems to be a tendency to hope it will all blow over. Out of site, out of mind, this is potentially to serious a matter for the people of the Fraser Coast to allow it to die.

I can only hope Cy and others pursue this issue and keep us informed, after all, if there is a risk, however small, it needs fixing.

Well Surprise!!!!!! Have received two identical letters from Solicitors King & Co, demanding, that I withdraw all my material from Strewth website, and in addition publish an apology, or else they will sue me for defamation?????. How is this possible? Lab reports are scientific fact beyond dispute.Photos do back these facts. And the most important fact is that WBW is giving away to farmers biosoils (toxic waste - over 7,200 tons over three years) , without fully informing farmers as to the health hazards to himself(farmer) and in addition posses as a health hazard to the community and environment and to protect our food chain, rivers and marine life and the future generation still to born in particular.

My question to the new Fraser coast Mayor Mick Kruger and his new council, are they going to allow this practise to continue of enviromental damage from this council owned body? This practise must stop today !!!! I call on all concerned parents, grand parents to voice your concern and support on this site

strewthisback writes: Cy, we have two seperate issues here, one is the water outflows at Eli Creek of which we understand you have full documentation of but has anyone ever proven the bio solids from WBW are harmful? WBW assures the public in their written advertisements recently that their biosoils are safe and approved by the EPA. We’d love to see documentation from both parties on this subject. Bringbackstrewth is only interested in dealing in facts not the assumption that all bio-solids are harmful.

This is not an issue I wanted to get too deeply into, however, I to want only the truth.
Biosolids - is a term used by the water treatment industry that refers to treated sludge. Sludge, or “biosolids” are the byproduct of the treatment of domestic wastwater in a wastewater treatment plant. To creat biosolids, these residuals are further treated to reduce pathogens and vector attraction by any number of approved methods. nevertheless, toxic chemicals, such as PCB’s, Dioxin and Brominated flame retardents, remain in the “treated” sludge. As there is no technology available to remove these and tens of thousands of other chemicals from swerage sludge!

This and other reports go on to state “experts” differ in their views as to whether it’s safe to spread this on the land or not? Like fluoride, for every expert who supports spreading the sludge on the land, there is one who states it’s unsafe.

The main reasoning behind the unsafe view is the fact that many of these substancies don’t breakdown, so the levels in the ground build up over time. I can only suggest you all do your own research and form your own views.

May I inform most readers that all sewerage waste water is composed of two elements Organic (coli material) and Inorganic material (minerals )which is the composition of all modern cities and towns waste water is made up of, and is calledt toxic waste (bio-soils)

Inorganic material found in Eli Waters can be found in all sewerage waste water in Australia, the amounts vary upon the size of cities. Remove the water componant, will only concentrates the minerals content thus increasing toxic harmful actions. No sewerage treatment in the whole world can remove these toxians whatever process they may use or process parameters that they may apply in treatment. The lab results has proved that these toxicans exists, how many lab results do you want before you are convinced, that we are dealing with a deadly substance, must we have a million deaths before the seeing blind and hearing deaf are convinced.
